Inspired by one of their favorite bands and biggest musical influences, The Pangs will be performing a musical tribute to The Band on Thanksgiving Eve. To celebrate this legendary music, the Pangs will play host to a plethora of local musicians. Members of Spokey Speaky, 61 North, The Hold-Up, The Butch Zito Band, wil be gracing the stage to help the Pangs do tribute in the Last Waltz style. Still Moon Servants will be opening the show.
The choice of the "Thanksgiving Eve" date is signifigant. The band held their famed final concert "The Last Waltz" on Thanksgiving Day, 1976 at the legendary Fillmore West in San Francisco. The performance, filmed by Martin Scorcese, was to become one of the greatest Rock & Roll concerts of all time. The band was joined in their farewell by artists who helped shape a generation of music including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Ronnie Wood, and many others.
Ramble On Events will be producing atmosphere and lights for the event to give the night the feel of an indoor music festival. The Queen will be looking sharper than ever for this one night only. Ramble On will also be introducing a new interactive music installation for the audience to jam out on!
We'll see you there!
